Lyndon Richards Original paintings

Lyndon Richards was trained in art at Newport College of Art, Cheltenham College of Art and Cardiff College of Art, graduating in 1978. Lyndon then went on to work in Art Education until 2006, when he retired to concentrate on his own work.

“My images are loosely painted, with overlapping marks, and represent boats, houses, fields, skies, etc.
They attempt to capture the ‘essence’ of the scenes that they depict – cutting through the critical, consumerist eye that we have developed for ourselves in today’s world.
My influences are the artists painting in Pont Aven and Concarneau, Brittany around 1900, particularly Charles Fromuth and Le Gout-Gerard.”
